A Sweet Celebration

When Suzanne contacted me about capturing the celebration of her marriage to Paul, I was so excited to learn more about their story. Paul and Suzanne have a story that so clearly has God's hand on all of it - their long friendship and love growing out of even the most difficult parts of their journeys. With this being their second wedding, Paul and Suzanne had one focus: marrying each other - the rest was carefree, easy, and quite seriously "island" themed to promote the relaxed vibe they wanted their whole day to have. All their guests wore flip flops, sundresses, and Hawaiian shirts - including Paul and Suzanne! Their ceremony was a casual gathering of their closest friends and family at the beautiful walled garden in the Historic Barns Park in Traverse City, MI. They then took the party over to Lake Leelanau, a well known spot for a great sunset view and beautiful lakeside homes. At the home of their generous friend Paulette, Paul & Suzanne enjoyed a fiesta prepared by local Chef, Amor Comida, and toasted to their new adventure while dining by the lake. Their perfect evening ended with another beautiful Lake Leelanau sunset, and even a little living room jam session - just like they'd hoped.
