Hi, I'm Grace.
Capturing your adventure is what I live for.
But also garage sales, the big lake, and Jesus.
Personally: I'm a Michigan Native and moved north 10 years ago - best decision I've ever made. I prefer whiskey and lakeside campfires, but these days I'm leaning more zero proof than anything. I'm a mom to 3 littles, a big thrifter, and a new sourdough baker! I'm also pretty darn crunchy when it comes to our lifestyle and prioritize clean, slow living as much as I can.
I'm a big true crime junkie - podcasts, books, shows - all of it, but I cannot for the life of me watch a scary movie.
I'm married to my high school sweetheart who keeps me wild.
Professionally: I've been a full time professional photographer since 2020, but I've been shooting professionally since 2015. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary & Special Education and spent time as a Kindergarten English as a Second Language Teacher & Preschool Teacher. I've managed busy winery tasting rooms and events. I've been a restaurant waitress and a tasting room associate. For three years, I served as the Executive Director of a local arts and culture non-profit serving individuals with disabilities. My husband owns a small construction company, and I've run my own business for 11 years now. Small business is a big part of who I am.
I'm based in Traverse City, MI but available to travel to the many beautiful surrounding areas here in MI and elsewhere!
I believe the best moments happen in the in-between, and these in-betweens tell our story. I love stopping time in these moments, just for a minute, so you can tell your story for years to come.
As of 2025, we're officially operating as a team of photographers!
To learn more about my team, head over to our team page to meet each team member and learn about the package and pricing offerings!
If your ideal day involves spending time outside, hanging with your favorite people, and relaxing - let's connect. We'd love to tell your story.
When it comes to my style & what you can expect:
I keep all my sessions PLAYFUL. I want to bring out your natural reactions and expressions, while also giving you direction to feel confident and calm. I look for both soft, glowy light as well as unique highlights and shadows to play with. I capture a healthy balance of classic portraits and candid images to make up your gallery. I'll remove most basic imperfections and use some soft skin smoothing, but I am not a photographer who uses photoshop heavily. When I say authentic and natural - that's what I mean.
Professional photo touch ups are available at an additional cost if you're looking for that airbrushed look on your images.
Your images will be delivered in mostly true to life color, with some in black and white. You can expect natural greens, natural color saturation, and warmer, higher contrast images that pop and make you feel the emotions. I pride my work on being timeless, not trendy.

Grace's Availability
I schedule portrait sessions based on the best light, this means that most often, we are shooting in the morning or evening, close to sunrise or sunset. Marketing & Studio Sessions have greater scheduling flexibility.
Grace's Sunset session books are closed for 2025, but you can still book her team for a beautiful sunset shoot!
FRIDAYS & SATURDAYS are for weddings, and SUNDAYS are for church and my own family.
Hudson & Co. Photo team members are available for FRI-SUN sessions!
If you're looking for a session outside of these times - GREAT NEWS!
My team has availability 7 days a week and both mornings and evenings. We can't wait to work with you!
