Cody & Mackenzie - 7.27.19

A sunny day on the bay.

July 27th was a perfect day. Cody and Mackenzie are two of the most relaxed people I've ever met - my kind of people! They were calm and casual the morning of their wedding, just ready to get married and throw a party! Cody and his guys had me crying laughing from the morning on - a few of his guys and family look SO similar, so there were multiple points I switched names and they definitely used that against me a times - and it was hilarious. I LOVE when you and your wedding party are that comfortable with me.

Mackenzie was absolutely glowing - she has a such a genuine spirit and she was a radiant bride. Their day started and finished at the beautiful Hagerty Center on West Bay, overlooking Lake Michigan. After one of the most emotional first looks I've ever seen (Cody is a big, goofy guy and watching him just melt as he saw his bride was beautiful), it was time for their ceremony.

With the water as their backdrop, Cody & Mackenzie were married outside in the courtyard at the Hagerty Center on this sunny afternoon. Their ceremony included a tree planting ceremony, which was so exciting for me because when my husband and I eloped, we planted a terrarium, so I love that element!

The floor to ceiling glass wall at the Hagerty center makes for the most amazing portraits - just look below to see for yourself. Cody & Mackenzie threw such a fun party and danced the night away with their friends and family as the sun set over the bay.
