Flyovers & Epic Dance Moves

These two - they're just awesome. Mike & Kirsten met in church and their relationship is such a beautiful example of Christ's love for us. They are crazy in love and always looking for ways to serve each other.

I swear it rained for weeks leading up to Mike & Kirsten's day, and it was even a rainy morning, but right before the ceremony, the skies completely cleared to give way to the perfect sunny day.

Kirsten sang during their traditional Catholic ceremony at Immaculate Conception, adding an untraditional element that made it so personal. I don't know how she had the confidence to sing on her WEDDING DAY, but you could just see that she was singing to praise Jesus and that was all that mattered for her - and of course she sang beautifully.

Mike serves in the Coast Guard, and after the ceremony, their was a surprise flyover! Mike said, "Don't worry about getting a picture of the helicopter, it's too hard." So of course the stubborn in me did just the opposite and I managed to catch a glimpse of it as it flew directly over the newlyweds! It was such a cool moment.

M & K had mentioned they wanted photos at the top of Wayne Hill, a well known stunning view. PS - Have I told you how organized Mike is, yet? Grooms - take note. Mike had all his photo stops scheduled out and had taken sample photos in each location to show me exactly what they were dreaming of - it was awesome. Anyway, being as organized as he is, they had already asked the couple that owns the house at the top of the hill if they'd mind if they stopped there for some photos on their wedding day. Of course, they said YES! Not only did we get this stunning view, but the sweet couple invited us up to their third floor balcony to get the VIP vista. Strangers do awesome things on wedding days. We also stopped at Mike & Kirsten's new home for a few photos - it was such a sweet thing to watch their excitement of finally being married and starting life together!

M & K celebrated at the Cathedral Barn in the Historic Barns Park, which is a piece of art in and of itself. I learned that Mike is a FANTASTIC wedding dancer, as is his entire family. It's like their thing. It was a night of epic dance moves and so many sweet friends and family.

Congrats Mike & Kirsten!
